The Saraland City School Board approved the 2012-2013 School Calendar on April 6, 2012.  Recently, the legislature approved a bill to require school to start on August 20, 2012, two weeks prior to Labor Day.  The last day for student instruction must be no later than the Friday preceding Memorial Day, May 24, 2013.  The calendar has been revised to meet those requirements. 

NOTICE:  If a child has an IEP that starts on the first day of school and ends on the last day of school, the child's IEP will be implemented based on the new dates for the school year.
