I attended Satsuma High School.

 I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and my Master's Degree in Educational Media from the University of South Alabama.

I taught 3rd grade at John Will Elementary School at the end of the year and at the beginning of the year in 2002.

At Saraland Elementary School, I have taught 1st grade in 2002-2003,  2nd grade in 2003-2004, and 4th grade 2004-present.

This is my 11th year teaching.

Hi! My name is Melanie Granade.  I am a fourth grade teacher at Saraland.  I am married to Jody, and we have been married for 13 years.  We have a daughter, Lorren, and she is nine years old.  She attends 4th grade at Saraland Elementary.  We also have a baby boy, Preston, and he is 2-1/2.  I am a resident of Saraland and have been in this area all of my life.  I enjoy scrapbooking (when I have time), reading, and I also enjoy spending time with my family.
